The Annual St Croix Valley Pottery Tour and Sale has welcomed visitors annually on Mothers’ Day weekend to seven pottery studios in Chisago County. Each studio/pottery is just a short drive from the others allowing some or all to be visited in a single day

Interplay
Explore the lively interplay between materials, form, technique and firing in this workshop. This course covers a variety of throwing, altering and hand building techniques, which can then be combined to generate endless ideas. Students experiment with some local materials and also explore the interaction between dark clay, white slip and glaze in wood and gas kilns. Expect a playful environment with opportunities for investigation and discovery at all stages of the making process. Basic throwing skills required.

We will be sending a great group of pots to this show at NCECA in Minneapolis. The Artstream Nomadic Gallery has been putting contemporary ceramic art on the street since 2002. It is a traveling exhibition space housed in a restored 1967 Airstream trailer. Based in Carbondale, CO, over the past 15 years it has exhibited in more than 150 locations, from Los Angeles to New York, Houston to Minneapolis.
